We are just one day away from my first tournament match of the year at the 2020 Indonesia Masters. We are once again going to play in the iconic Istora Senayan arena in Jakarta, which is famous for its many spectators and amazing atmosphere. I am very much looking forward to playing there again! 🙂
Last time I played in Istora Senayan was at the Indonesia Open in July last year, where I reached second round. I did not compete at the Indonesia Masters one year ago, but in 2018 I suffered an early first round exit as I lost 20-22 in third game to Tai Tzu Ying. I am very keen on making a better result this time…!
This week I am seeded 7 and will play my first match tomorrow scheduled for 3:35pm. I am drawn against a player from the qualification; the winner of Pai Yu Po and Ruselli Hartawan. Today they had a close match and Ruselli came out on top. Obviously I will need to be extra focused tomorrow as I will be playing against an Indonesian with her home crowd. Looking forward to giving my absolute best! 😉
I arrived to Jakarta Sunday to have a few days to get adjusted here. It will be great to be back in action again after the holidays. Keeping in mind my goals and development, I will definitely do everything I can to have a great start to the new year. No matter win or lose I would like to say a big thank you for the support I have from my team, friends and fans. I am very happy to have received the support and very kind gifts I got from my fans here in Indonesia already! 😀
Excited for what’s to come 🙂
